Rayshinryu is an eclectic Martial Art. Which means that it combines several Martial Arts that weren't originally designed to go together. Eclectic Martial Arts are now more commonly referred to as Mixed Martial Arts.

The Arts that it primarily uses are, Judo, International Taekwondo (Combat Taekwondo not Sport Taekwondo, yes there is a difference), Karate, Arnis (Filipino Stick Fighting), and PKA Kickboxing.

Techniques from other styles are summarily added as seen fit to enhance its overall effectiveness and these arts are taught under one umbrella called Rayshinryu
