Email Etiquette page 2

Too Many Headers

Have you ever received an email that you had to scroll way down the page to get to the email itself because it had a whole lot of email address from where it had been forwarded over and over again. If this shows up on a spammers desk, he will be one happy spammer. So if you decide to forward this (using the Bcc method of course). What you should do is erase all of the previous email address off of the email.

A lot of people seem to get confused here because they do not know how to do this. So let me tell you how to do it. For one, you cannot erase anything from an email as long as it is a received email. So what you have to do is to wait until you have hit the forward or reply button. Once the email is in the forwarding status. You can alter it then before you send it out. Yes right before you hit the send button. To remove the previous email addresses. Just highlight them and then hit the delete key. This is considered courteous and should be done all the time.

What about all of those >>>>s

There is a program called :StripMail" that will eliminate these little bugers. They are caused every time an email is forwarded. It picks up on of these. Just download Stripmail and follow the instructions. Did I mention that it is FREE. I am not sure if this works with Windows 7 and dual core or not. If you find out one way or the other. Please let me know.
