Valerie Toro

Valerie along with her older sister Leslie and younger brother Fabian are students of the Walnut Rec. Center Shudokan Karate Class. There is pressure on her for being a middle child. She has to work harder to keep up with her older sister and has to help look after her younger brother. But Valerie is up to the task. She comes to class and always gives her best effort. Don't let that adorable face fool you. This is one determined, hard working student. We expect her to go far. Valerie is a white belt with a yellow stripe. We expect her to soon make her yellow belt and then it is only up from there.
Valerie just had her tenth birthday (June 24, 2010). Everybody in class whished her a happy birthday.
We asked Valerie's Mom to write something about Valerie and this is what she
wrote:
Valerie Toro was born on June 24th, 2000 and like our other two children, Valerie has brought a ton of happiness to our family. Ever since her toddler years, she has been pretty persistent on what she wanted, as well as making sure she got what she wanted.
At the age of ten Valerie continues to be this way. I'm proud to say that her uniqueness is pretty awarding as a parent as well as herself.
Thank you Valerie for all of your hard work and effort.
