Using Arduino for a Smarter Home

Punchkickers are technology fanatics by nature. Jack Brett, a developer at Punchkick, has begun playing with Arduino to measure temperature in his apartment. Arduino is a tiny computer that allows anyone from programmers to amateur enthusiasts begin building prototypes of their ideas with hardware and software. It’s essentially an open-source framework for hardware, and allows the user to forgo some of the complexities of programming and circuitry and skip right to making something cool.

In this video, Brett gives us a rundown of his Arduino setup and explains how he uses open-source hardware to build a smarter, more connected home.
