Chicago has taken another step towards being a tech-town. Mayor Rahm Emanuel stated, “I am committed to making Chicago one of the most connected cities in the world by expanding access to high speed internet in people’s homes, businesses and in public spaces.” How so? The city is now offering free high-speed internet at 5 city beaches, North Avenue, Osterman/Hollywood, Montrose, Foster and Rainbow beaches.
