Berkley One + Punchkick: Building Enterprise Software Alongside Users

One of the many things we’re always proud of at Punchkick is that we work with clients who understand the value of focusing on the user for almost everything we build. We’re big advocates of design sprints and usability testing, so working with forward-thinking insurance provider Berkley One was a great opportunity to put these practices to work, and led to one of our favorite recent stories of success.

The challenge: a user-friendly, efficient, modern, and responsive web app for insurance agents. One that integrated information from a half dozen APIs and external systems. One that was actually pleasant to use by the agents who would be relying on it every day to bring Berkley One products to their clients.

Interviewing real-world agents who would ultimately use the Berkley One portal, our team of strategists, researchers, and designers identified ideated a host of new functionality. Together, we developed an entirely original user experience and content architecture, and wrapped it all up in a gorgeous interface design that would set the Berkley One portal apart.

This wasn’t software built around the ways insurance has always been sold—rather, this was software custom built for what insurance agents need.
